SITE-SPECIFIC LAND ART / EARTH ART

The collaborative work Asay and Davis have done since 1983 consisting of installation sculptures, has attempted to bring viewers into direct, intense contact with the raw materials of nature.  Many of these sculptures were created in the form of site-specific Land Art, some as temporary installations in a natural setting and some as permanent installations in public places.  The artists appreciate the process of setting a carefully ordered installation in an outdoor site as way to bring about a deep connection to place.
